Procedures Regarding Recognition
PROCEDURES CONCERNING RECOGNITION AND WORK VISA Journeyman's Certificate and Vocational High School Diploma (Profession)
- Journeyman's Certificate:
Vocational Training Centers, formerly known as Apprenticeship Training Centers, can be recognized in the relevant profession in Germany for those who have received three years of training and can prove this with a journeyman's certificate and transcript. What is important here is that the person has received this vocational certificate in accordance with Article 16 of Law No. 3308. This is written in the relevant document. The same document may also be issued according to Article 35 of the same law, in which case there is no vocational recognition in Germany, because the person has not received any valid training within the scope of recognition and the transcript is not available.
- Vocational High School Diploma:
A graduate of a vocational high school in Turkey is considered to have a profession in Germany in the field in which he/she graduated. The relevant diploma and transcript can be recognized.
Professional Recognition and Equivalence Decision:
After the filing process to be carried out by Lotus Legal, an interim decision is sent within approximately one month after the submission of the documents to the relevant institutions, an interim decision is sent for the fulfillment of the missing documents, if any, and the payment of the transaction fee, and after the fulfillment of these deficiencies and the payment of the fee, the equivalence decision comes within an average of three months.
Equivalency decisions are of two types: "Full Equivalency" or "Partial Equivalency". A Work Visa can be obtained with both equivalence decisions, but the procedure in Partial Equivalence is a little more complex and longer, so it is beneficial to obtain Full Equivalence. For this reason, it is important that the applicant has professional experience and proving this experience is important in the procedures within the scope of equivalence.
Work Visa
Every professionally recognized professional can obtain a Work Visa if they obtain an employment contract in Germany. There is no language requirement for this. However, the employer must put a document in the application file stating that the applicant does not need to speak German, that the employer himself or some of the company employees speak Turkish and that there is no problem for the worker to work in this way.
In addition, there must be a commitment from the employer that the missing qualifications of the workers who receive Partial Recognition will be completed while working, and this requirement can be solved with a document like the language requirement.
